What did it look like before?

This bright open kitchen came about as a result of removing an enclosing partition and replacing it with a storage saving dining peninsula. On top we put Pietra Cardoza stone countertops. We also installed new school house fixtures in the ceiling above.

Lower East Side

A small project in terms of scale, but BIG in terms of transformation. I started this small “side job” in the spring of 2005. The client, a single woman in the publishing business, had a clear aesthetic vision of what she wanted but didn't have the time or tools to execute it to her own exacting standards. Enter L. Danielle Fennoy. In addition to giving the place an overall "vintage chic" aesthetic to go with her collection of vintage furniture and barber's accessories, we also changed how the space would feel and function. What was once a closed eat-in-kitchen became a large open kitchen with lots of storage, a dining peninsula, and views of the living room, terrace, and the gorgeous city beyond.

"It's a pleasure working with Danielle. She's what you'd want and expect in a designer - creative, confident, good problem solver, responsible, and easy to work with. More than anything, she took into account what I really wanted in my home and made it so much better!"–Sarah C.
