Born into a family of design-conscious "fixer-uppers," Danielle Fennoy knew she was destined for design. A California native, Danielle headed to New York to commence her formal training at Pratt Institute, where she focused on "user experience" - the idea that how a client utilizes his particular space is the driving factor in the designer’s vision and conceptual approach.
After graduating with a Masters of Science in 2004, she joined a Manhattan design firm, where she extended her work on user experience in exploring the importance of custom design, primarily focused on residential projects. With a robust roster of demanding, high profile clients, Danielle capitalized on her exposure to a wide range of client styles and requests. Aware of her entrepreneurial drive, Danielle packed up her three years of agency experience to found her own design firm, MAKE DESIGN, with two partners. At MAKE, Danielle further refined her design direction, embarking on a number of projects along the eastern seaboard, in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Central America. Now as the sole principal of Revamp, Danielle is yet again blazing her own design trail with exciting clients such as her largest project to-date: a 3,000 square foot, custom home in Christianstead, St. Croix.
Danielle believes the secret to her success has been a combination of her personal passion, an understanding of her clients’ needs, her solid academic and professional training, and her exposure to global design. She has traveled to Scandinavia, India, South America and Eastern Europe, among other places, to study architecture, urban design and interiors.
Danielle's passion for life extends into every facet of her life as an avid spin instructor, a world-class salsa dancer, a daring chef, and most recently, the 2007 recipient of the Savvy Lady of the Year Award, given annually by Savvy Ladies, a New York-based women’s financial networking group.
